Val-Martin revitalization
Sectors
HousingOur team at Ædifica is proud to actively participate in the revitalization of the Chomedey district in Laval with the innovative Revalorisation Val-Martin project. Mandated by the Office municipal d’habitation de Laval, this large-scale project transforms an aging sector into a modern, inclusive, and sustainable living environment. At the heart of this transformation is the construction of a 27,965 sq ft Community Centre, targeting LEED NC v4 Gold certification, which will become a vital hub of activities and services for the community.

The project unfolds along two complementary axes: the Régénération Project, offering 124 housing units for a diverse clientele (families, single individuals, autonomous seniors), and the AccèsLogis Projects, providing 233 social and community housing units for low- and moderate-income households. This mix of residential offerings fosters a rich and inclusive community.
The design of Revalorisation Val-Martin is part of a vision for transit-oriented development (TOD). Located in the immediate vicinity of a multimodal transportation hub, the site encourages active mobility and facilitates access to the new community center for all users. Particular attention is paid to sustainability, with the goal of obtaining LEED Gold certification for the community center and the integration of eco-responsible principles in the design of all housing.
Following the demolition of the existing buildings, a significant portion of the site will be developed into a vast urban park, offering a new landscaped public space for the well-being of the community. Revalorisation Val-Martin illustrates our commitment to designing complete and sustainable living environments that meet the social and environmental needs of the communities we serve.
