Hugues Daly


An architect with a degree in architecture from Université Laval and a diploma in environmental design from UQAM, Hugues Daly joined Ædifica in 2013. Since then, he has risen through the ranks, from Project Manager to Director of Architecture in 2019, then to Vice President of Architecture in 2023. Today, he co-leads the architecture team alongside Patrick Bernier, together ensuring strategic management, talent development and quality deliverables.
With over 20 years' experience in architecture, Hugues has worked on a wide variety of projects, from conception to completion, in the residential, commercial and cultural sectors. His expertise extends to developing master plans, managing complex projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. He is recognized for his ability to harmoniously integrate the various aspects of a project while respecting customer needs, deadlines and budgets.
Hugues has played a key role in several large-scale, structuring projects, such as the development of Le Canoë, an innovative, sustainable residential project, and the revitalization of the Val-Martin site, a redevelopment project involving 357 social housing units. He has also overseen emblematic projects such as the Société de développement Angus - Bloc 4 Îlot central development in Montreal and the project to transform the Congrégation des Sœurs de Sainte-Anne in Lachine.
As Vice President, Architecture, Hugues provides strategic leadership focused on innovation, sustainability and collaboration, in addition to advocating the architectural quality of the built environment and the relevance of architecture as a pillar of development. His specialization in the sectors of community, social and private housing, real estate development and private cultural projects, combined with Patrick Bernier's sector expertise, enables Ædifica to propose an integrated offering adapted to a variety of contexts.
