Our team at Ædifica had the privilege of designing the new offices of the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM), a public organization at the heart of planning and promoting public transit in the Greater Montreal area. The main challenge was to create a work environment that embodies ARTM's values of modernity, agility, and forward-thinking, while reflecting its mission to offer a simple, integrated, fluid, and efficient mobility experience.

From the outset, sustainable development was a priority, with the ambitious goal of achieving LEED-CI and Well Silver certifications. An integrated design process made it possible to implement tailor-made solutions promoting a low-environmental-impact workplace focused on employee well-being. The layout thus offers optimized access to natural light, integrates biophilic principles, and ensures superior acoustics and energy efficiency, not to mention dedicated relaxation areas.

Our team also designed the space as a communication tool for ARTM's mission. The concept draws inspiration from the themes of movement, fluidity, and interconnectivity inherent in metropolitan transport. The layout evokes a journey on public transit, from a metro station to public spaces. The central core recalls a metro station, while the peripheral spaces open up and brighten, leading to creative zones, meeting rooms, and a convivial bistro designed like a public park.

This project demonstrates our ability to translate an organization's identity and values into an inspiring and sustainable work environment, where the well-being of occupants is at the heart of the design.
