L'Esperluette

Esperluette 2

The architectural concept is ingeniously articulated around an "L" shaped layout, defining an inner courtyard that becomes the true heart of this community. This central space promotes interaction and exchange among residents. At the rear, green exterior walkways adorn the facade, serving both as circulation towards the elevators and as natural screens thanks to a trellis system for climbing plants.

Within the framework of a cooperative project with budget constraints, our approach consisted of optimizing the site's qualities and drawing inspiration from the architectural character of Griffintown to create a contemporary building integrated into its environment. We prioritized passive energy performance strategies, such as the cross-ventilation design of the units for optimal natural airflow and rainwater harvesting for the irrigation of green spaces, thus ensuring a comfortable and eco-responsible building without complex systems.

La Coopérative l’Esperluette illustrates our commitment to designing quality living environments tailored to the specific needs of our clients and their communities. This project demonstrates our ability to create spaces that foster social connection and resident well-being, while integrating essential sustainability principles.
