Ædifica faced several design challenges, including the need to rethink the traditional workspace to promote flexibility and collaboration. It was also necessary to optimize a deep rectangular space to maximize natural light and create an attractive environment that would encourage employees to return to the office after the pandemic. The goal was to design a space that reflects BRP's brand DNA while promoting socialization and well-being.

The space design was guided by a user-centric approach and a deep understanding of BRP's corporate culture. Space planning was defined based on the main circulation axes between the factories, resulting in an original angular layout. The heart of the space is a central agora, a bright and green gathering point that fosters interaction and inspiration.

The space is designed to offer a variety of work environments, ranging from individual workstations to open collaboration areas. Blocks of enclosed rooms provide transition zones and privacy, while large windows offer stunning views of the surrounding hills. The layout was designed to optimize natural light and create an atmosphere that is both dynamic and soothing.

Materiality plays a key role in creating a strong identity for the space. The materials evoke both nature and BRP's spirit of ingenuity. Dark green and soft green tones, indigenous plants, and various wood essences create a warm and organic ambiance, while dark exposed ceilings and white and wood gypsum ceiling drops add a touch of modernity and dynamism.

Ædifica emphasized occupant well-being by integrating high-performance acoustic, thermal, and lighting strategies. Sensors regulate lighting and heating based on natural light and time of day, while various acoustic solutions (wood-effect tiles, perforated gypsum, sound masking) ensure a comfortable and focused environment.

The BRP, Le MID project is a successful example of innovative and user-centered workspace design. Ædifica successfully addressed the challenges posed by the space and BRP's needs to create an environment that promotes collaboration, flexibility, well-being, and brand identity.
