Our team at Ædifica was pleased to collaborate with Telus and the owners of their iconic building located at 630 René-Lévesque West to modernize and refresh the image of their lobby and esplanade. In accordance with the recommendations of the Comité consultatif d’urbanisme et d’Héritage Montréal, our intervention highlighted the existing architectural lines, particularly the vertical mullions of the facade, by adopting a clean and contemporary design.

The exterior was transformed by the addition of an ultra-clear glass curtain wall and a white metal canopy, bringing increased brightness and a touch of modernity. A new black granite parterre, equipped with a heating system for optimal comfort in winter, now welcomes visitors. A distinctive element of our design is a green column integrated into the heart of the lobby, infusing a touch of nature and highlighting Telus' environmental commitment.

In this spirit of renewal, all interior finishes were replaced with noble materials in light hues, such as light wood veneer panels and an elegant white terrazzo floor, maximizing the reflection of natural light and LED lighting. To minimize the impact on the main access, the refurbishment and renovation of the elevators were staggered over a two-year period and completed in the spring of 2016.

This project illustrates our ability to transform existing spaces into modern and welcoming environments, respecting the urban context and the specific needs of our clients. The revitalization of Place Telus demonstrates our commitment to creating places that combine aesthetics, functionality, and user well-being.
