Two years after the beginning of its construction, the Jonxion 3 building has just been certified LEED CS, Gold. The project, managed by Gallion Property Development, was realized by PMA Architects - Pierre Martin & Associés. As the sustainable design consultant, Ædifica guided and advised the project’s various stakeholders in designing the healthy, sustainable and efficient building.
This new 12,360 m² office building, spread over 8 floors, is located in Brossard at the crossroads of highways 10 and 30, connected to a vast network offering multiple services and businesses, Jonxion 3 represents the expression of a concept that reconciles work and quality of life.
As the first phase of a three-building development, the project aims to achieve good energy performance by choosing efficient systems, natural gas furnaces, low-flow plumbing fixtures, LED-only lighting fixtures and by choosing a high-performance envelope with double glazing with argon and low-e.
During the process, the teams prioritize recycled and local materials. In addition, tight construction waste management has diverted almost all waste from landfills.
Efforts have been made from the beginning of construction to optimize the quality of indoor environments.
