Condos Le W/E - LEED-NC, silver certification

Gatineau, Québec, Canada

Located in the heart of downtown Gatineau, the Wellington-Eddy complex, commonly known as the W/E, is the first phase of a contemporary rental condominium project. The project includes 137 units ranging from 600 to 1,200 ft2 over 12 floors, as well as commercial rental spaces on the ground floor. As the sustainable design consultant, Ædifica guided and advised the project’s various stakeholders in designing the healthy, sustainable and efficient dwellings. In addition to its prime location, near many services, the W/E project puts forward innovative and occupant-centred environmental strategies: installation of electric charging stations, heat recovery systems, heating appliances that run on natural gas, low-flow plumbing fixtures, an efficient building envelope with double glazing, and the maximization of openings for optimal and comfortable natural light.
