Chalet de la berge aux Quatre-Vents - Laval
As part of the sustainable development of Bergers aux Quatre Vents Park in Laval, Ædifica acted as LEED consultant and electromechanical engineering professional for the design and construction of the park's new community chalet.

This building aims to provide a welcoming, functional, and environmentally friendly space for both everyday users and seasonal events. Our LEED mandate consisted of supporting the project team in the rigorous integration of LEED v4 certification requirements, from the early design stages to on-site monitoring.
Several sustainable strategies have been implemented to maximize the building's environmental performance:
- Reduction of heat islands through highly reflective roofs and landscaping
- Reduction of indoor water consumption through the installation of low-flow plumbing fixtures
- Choosing healthy, sustainable materials with low environmental impact, favoring local, recycled products with low VOC emissions
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions through high-performance mechanical systems, a wooden structure, and an efficient envelope
- Reducing the environmental impact on the natural environment by minimizing the project's footprint on sensitive areas
- Preservation of biodiversity through a layout that respects the ecological fabric of the site
In addition, our electromechanical engineering team designed systems tailored to the needs of a seasonal building, while meeting the highest standards of energy efficiency and comfort. Integrated solutions for heating, ventilation, lighting, and water management have contributed to the overall performance of the project.
With this mandate, Ædifica is actively participating in the creation of responsible community infrastructure, where every design decision aims to reduce the environmental footprint while promoting the quality of life of users and the natural environment.
