Maison symphonique

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC, CANADA

The permanent residence of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, L’Adresse symphonique on the esplanade of Place des Arts is a project mainly intended to create a variable-acoustic concert hall of exceptional quality which will become an international benchmark. The transparent walls play an essential role in the success of the architectural concept for this concert hall, which is meant to make more accessible an art that is often misjudged as elitist. Thanks to the glass walls, passersby will be invited to participate in the experience, while for the audience, the interaction with the urban environment will help to lessen any feeling of intimidation they may feel towards classical culture while heightening the excitement of experiencing a concert performance.
