Salon Urbain

A public space devoted to art in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles

Salon urbain - 9

Born from a reconfiguration of spaces following the construction of the Maison Symphonique, the Salon Urbain was designed as a link between the various performance halls, offering an elegant and modern reception area. Our architectural approach emphasized flexibility and versatility, allowing the venue to adapt to a variety of uses: welcoming spectators, private receptions, artistic events, etc.

The interior design is distinguished by its intimate and sophisticated atmosphere, where red, the emblematic color of opening nights, creates a strong visual identity. The bar, designed as a sculpture evoking a sound wave, becomes a central element of the space. A major challenge of the project was to maximize the feeling of space in a venue constrained by a low ceiling height. We met this challenge through an innovative treatment of the ceilings, adorned with a triangular pattern inspired by the architecture of the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, and a careful integration of technical systems.

The Salon Urbain is now an essential part of Place des Arts, appreciated for its unique ambiance and versatility. It demonstrates our ability to transform existing spaces into vibrant and functional venues that contribute to enriching the cultural life of communities. This project illustrates our commitment to creating spaces that foster exchange, encounter, and the appreciation of art.
