SanofiLaval, Québec, Canada
Global healthcare leader Sanofi commissioned Ædifica to design its workspace when it moved to offices one-third the size of the original. Sanofi’s new corporate vision places people and patients at the centre of their business strategies. Drawing inspiration from the client’s vision, the Ædifica team planned versatile, open and interconnected spaces that promote collaboration and interaction between the teams, and devised a detailed change management strategy to promote the transition.By integrating the symbols of the elements earth, water, air and fire and graphics that depict the company’s mission and patients, the new work areas foster collaborative and creative exchange while promoting well-being and a community feel. The new LEED-NC certified space is awash in natural light and equipped with new IT systems. It evokes openness and communication and is designed to inspire. A thorough analysis of acoustic issues also contributed to the deliberate choice of noise control materials for filing cabinets, keyboards and even the microwave ovens that were moved to a separate area.
