Architect, Vice-President, AedificaSud
Gaylor Esper has been behind numerous major architectural projects in Haiti since the beginning of the 1980s. The achievements that have marked his career include schools, hospitals, and institutional and residential complexes.
Since the 2010 earthquake, Gaylor Esper has devoted much of his energy to the tremendous task of rebuilding the nation. His dedication led to a decisive meeting with executives of the Montréal firm Aedifica, which shares his desire for solidarity. Together they moved quickly to form AedificaSud, a group that unites Haitian and Canadian architecture professionals, under Gaylor Esper’s direction, in support of reconstruction projects planned in a spirit of sustainable development. A number of projects have resulted from this partnership, including schools and hotels, a mixed office and hotel complex, the Artibonite regional hospital in Gonaïves, and the Hôpital Saint-Michel in Jacmel.
