Air Transat - LEED-EB, platinum certificationMONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC, CANADA
Air Transat wanted to pursue its sustainable development policy by incorporating best operating and maintenance practices into the management of its head office. Ædifica’s mandate was to analyze the potential for improving practices, coordinate LEED-EB requirements with the operating business (Cofely), and help draft sustainable procurement and waste management policies as well as the application for LEED certification. The process made it possible to pinpoint means of minimizing the environmental footprint associated with the building. All practices were analyzed and improvement procedures were developed, implemented and quantified over a period of one year. Air Transat’s head office became the first building in Canada to obtain LEED-EB platinum certification.
