Artibonite Provincial Hospital (Gonaïves)Gonaïves, Haïti
A consortium led by Ædifica and SNC-Lavalin, in partnership with AAU, was hired to design, build and equip a new 200-bed facility specializing in maternal, newborn and child health. The plan covered 12 service units, including paediatrics, gynaecology and obstetrics, emergency, intensive care unit and surgery block. Medical laboratories were also installed in compliance with Haiti’s national laboratory for building and public works standards. The hospital was designed following sustainability practices, while the overall project was designed to improve access to quality specialized health services to families in the Artibonite Department. The facility will also serve as a prototype for improved healthcare delivery across the country.
